Polyamory Match is seeking highly motivated and community-oriented Independent Contractor Marketing Event Planners to help grow our brand and foster community fellowship. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, organizing, and hosting various recreational and educational events in their local region. A key component of this role is working directly with local polyamory community leaders, specifically private Facebook group administrators and moderators, to promote and drive registrations for these events. This role is ideal for a self-starter with a deep understanding of the polyamorous community and a passion for bringing people together.
Develop creative and engaging event concepts that align with the Polyamory Match brand, ranging from casual recreational meetups to structured educational workshops.
Manage all event logistics, including securing venues, coordinating with vendors, and creating event schedules. Ensure all events are inclusive, safe, and welcoming, adhering to Polyamory Matchโs community guidelines.
Act as the primary liaison between Polyamory Match and local polyamory private Facebook group administrators and moderators.
Utilize a collaborative and respectful approach to promote events within these private groups, working to build trust and relationships with group leaders.
Develop and execute a local marketing strategy to drive event registrations and app sign-ups, leveraging social media, community calendars, and word-of-mouth promotion.
Host and manage all assigned events, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
Serve as a brand ambassador for Polyamory Match, effectively communicating our appโs value proposition and mission. Gather attendee feedback to help improve future events.
Provide regular reports on event attendance, key metrics, and community feedback to the VP of Marketing/Events. Utilize provided tools to track new member registrations linked to your events.
This is a commission-based role. The Independent Contractor will receive a residual, per-registration commission for every new member who signs up for the Polyamory Match app through their unique event code or referral link. This commission is paid out on a monthly or quarterly basis for as long as the member remains a paying subscriber. This creates a sustainable, long-term income stream that rewards successful community building.
Proven experience in event planning, community organizing, or marketing.
Deep, firsthand knowledge and understanding of the polyamorous community, its various structures, and its social dynamics. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with community leaders. Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Comfortable with using social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
